Lifesaving Equipment On the Way
After three years of dedication and coordination led by the Rotary Club of Salisbury, a shipment of vital medical equipment for Kamachumu Health Clinic is officially on its way.
At the end of January, a 40-foot container was packed and sent off, bound for the port of Dar es Salaam, where it is expected to arrive in April. Inside are the essential pieces of equipment needed to open the clinic’s doors for the very first time and begin serving thousands of men, women, and children in the surrounding community.
Co-Founders Drs. Justinian Ngaiza and Jean Rutabanzibwa-Ngaiza were on site to oversee the packing and departure of the container, joined by key members of the Rotary Club whose leadership and persistence made this milestone possible.
This shipment represents years of planning, partnership, and generosity. Special thanks to John Hall and Kathleen McLain of the Rotary Club of Salisbury for guiding this effort from start to finish, and to TidalHealth and the TRIMEDX Foundation for donating and procuring the equipment.
While the container has left the dock, the real impact will begin when it arrives in Tanzania this spring—helping transform an empty space into a hub of hope, ready to provide care to those who need it most.
